After the release of the Apple iPad, many people now want to know more about the iPad. One question that always comes up is what is the iPad resolution. Well this is definitely natural, whenever a new technology is born, especially true for Apple products, many tech-geeks want to learn as much as they can about the new product and it is the same for iPad. Many people have already been asking around particularly about the specification of the iPad. This happens often that, everyone is interested in the specs of new technologies. So, get ready to learn a thing or two about the iPad.
iPad Resolution
The screen of the iPad is 9.7 inch long and has the same multi-touch interface with and backlit LED that you can find on the iPhone. The screen resolution is 1024 x 768 at 132 ppi. Like in the iPhone, you can hold your iPad either the horizontal way (landscape) or the vertical way (portrait). Therefore, the screen resolution is different when you view the iPad in landscape and in portrait view. In portrait view, the resolution is 1024 x 768 and in landscape view it is 768 x 1024. This actually causes a few issues when you select an iPad wallpaper but we have you covered with all the info you need for a custom iPad wallpaper. Nonetheless, the iPad screen is high-resolution, much higher than the iPhone resolution, and you can watch HD videos on your iPad.
The iPad comes in a range of different storages of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Each storage size has a different prices level of course and you should figure out how many gigs you need before purchasing your iPad so you don’t spend more than you have to. The processor speed of the first generation iPad is 1GHz with A4 processor. The iPad2 got an upgrade and is now using a dual-core chip to and allows users to surf the web and use apps with more speed and better graphics.
There is one model of the iPad that is available with Wi-Fi and another model with both Wi-Fi and 3G, which will be out soon and the wifi + 3G version will obviously cost more than simple wi-fi model. Think about if you need 3G or not because if not you can save money but going for the wi-fi only model. The battery has enough power for approximately 10hrs after charging.
Akin to the iPhone, the Apple iPad has an accelerometer and compass in it too. All iPhone and iPod apps are supported and easily transferred to the iPad, however there are some apps that are only for the iPad (news app – TheDaily). Some people are saying that new apps for iPad will need new SDK to run them. SDK for iPad will be coming in to market later on. The iPad also has a radio and the Bluetooth 2.1 as standard.
The Ipad Resolution is best for watching videos, viewing photos, and for reading e-books. There is so much more to discuss about the ipad and I will discuss more in the next several posts.
