As mentioned above, Apple is supposedly looking for ways in order to develop multi-user iPad support. This multi-user feature was a suggestion that was sent to Apple through an email, and Apple gave the response that it was aware of this issue, and that it was being looked into by their engineers. The official response from the Apple Developer Connection’s Worldwide Developer Relations team reads that after doing further investigation, it has been determined by Apple that this is a known issue, and it is currently being investigated by the engineering department.

Many of you might be thinking that this is just a default response and that Apple could have given the same response if someone emailed them about a bug problem, and Apple was replaying back about suggestions and bug fixes. However, the developer claims that many other filed bugs have never received such a response and so, we can hope that Apple is actually looking into the multi-user support for the iPad.

Many of us share our iPads with our family members; however, the ability to give them separate accounts does make more sense. If the iPad does get multi-user support, it means that each member could have their own login screen, home screen and favorite apps that are all password protected, which would mean that other members won’t be able to delete or change things. Though this idea does sound nice, the problem that could arise is that the iPad would need additional storage space for multiple users. The multi-user support could work if you own a 64GB iPad as it has enough storage for a lot of members.

Apple’s OS X for Mac and Microsoft Windows, as well as various Unix, Linux and other computer systems have provided people with multiple login support for years. However, Apple has avoided giving this support to the iOS. Instead of providing multiple user logins to the family members, they are more interested in multiple user devices where each member has their own iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Providing multiple-user support can make iPads password protected, and you can decide which content is accessible when someone else uses your iPad.

In the Contacts Journal app, the contact screen displays the photo of your choice of the contact, and call, message and email buttons to contact your contacts directly while working on or using the app. There are also buttons that allow you to switch between viewing or adding logs, to-dos and documents. In order to add a log entry or a document, you need only tap the plus sign as when adding contacts. To add a to-do list you can sync it with the built in Calendar app in order to receive a reminder to do the task on the to-do list. The Contacts Journal, additionally, allows you to add specific locations to your log entries and to-do lists.

When adding a document to a contact, the simplest way to do so is to browse the document from elsewhere on your like your email or Dropbox and then select the option ‘Open In Contacts Journal.’ You will then be asked to select a contact to attach the document to. Conversely, you may send a document from your computer directly to the Contacts Journal by connecting the devices, the computer and your iPad, to the same the WiFi network and providing a special URL.

This serves to act as a reminder to you to add that item to the Dropbox.

Unfortunately, the Contacts Journal does not support an iCloud sync. The developers, however, have claimed that they are working on it but tend to run into bugs from Apple’s end. Once the few kinks are worked out, it will be released with the iCloud sync.

So, over all, the Contacts Journal app is very useful as it allows you to add logs, to-dos and documents to your contacts. It helps you create groups within your contacts and lastly, it allows you to sync your contacts to the built in Contacts app, the built in Calendar app and Dropbox. However, the Dropbox sync is not automatic and must be manually forced. Although it has a friendly user interface, it is a very boring interface. And also, the paid versions are not universal. However, the lite version is universal and free to download and use.

Overall, however, Panes is quite an efficient app and true to its purpose of multitasking. It allows you to conveniently switch between multiple widgets to allow you to easily handle multiple tasks. This switching is not only convenient but also very fast which means time saving for you. Conversely, it has a boring user interface but with the Inglorious Apps’s ingeniousness, this can be cured and made to look quite interesting and aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, scrolling in Panes is not very smooth but it is pretty good compared to many apps.

The iPad mini is planned to come in a lower price range of almost approximately $249 to $299. Pop-ups give you a list of choices to choose from when entering data into a cell. The pop ups are customizable and may vary for every single data. Hence, this app is definitely worth the buy for anyone who regularly uses the Numbers app and also if you need to store and analyze a lot of data. It does the entire math for you and makes it look the way you wanted since you get to choose from a variety of templates!

It takes a lot of effort to figure it align all the margins the way you wish to crop the document or image.

However, all in all we found the Scanner Pro to be very useful in that it makes your iPad and iPhone a highly efficacious portable scanner. So it is safe to say that the new Scanner Pro is still efficient hence still strong!

The freehand drawing option, however, could do with some improvements. It isn’t the best freehand drawing tool considering that the strokes aren’t very refined and there is no option for zooming in on a smaller handwriting or an undo option. The lack of these qualities truly makes the freehand writing tool a big disappointment.

However, one of the good things is that when adding a signature, you have a lot of options to customize it. Most people would want to make it nice and look good, and so Adobe Reader provides the space for it to be made easily and freely. Once you’re done signing you may adjust the thickness of it according to your choice before you enter into the document. Adobe Reader will also do an added favor of keeping your signature saved so that you may use it if or when you may need it again.

Additionally, when you tap on a signature on any handwritten annotation, a tool bar will pop up that allows you to choose the color, thickness and opacity of the text. You can also drag signature and annotations around, adjust their size, or delete them entirely from your document. Filling up a form has also been made much easier. You need only tap on a fillable field for the keyboard to slide up and allow you to enter the required data into the field.

However, over all, the Adobe Reader for iPad is an amazing app considering also that it is available free for download. It starts of nicely with a great tutorial PDF. You may skip it but it is a very precise, informative and useful tutorial, especially to allow you to understand how to use it more easily on the iPad. Secondly, it allows you to easily markup PDF content sticky notes, the freehand drawing tool, or the highlight, strikethrough or underline options. The Adobe Reader for iPad also allows you to add notes in the form of sticky notes anywhere in your PDF file. One of the most important upgrades to the Adobe Reader for iPad is that it allows the user to fill out forms, and that too very easily and conveniently. Another beneficial feature is the Ink Signature tool to add a signature or to send PDF files to others for electronic signing via Adobe EchoSign.

However, the non-availability of the zoom in option and the option to undo or redo puts a bit of a downer on an otherwise brilliant app. Also, the freehand drawing could also benefit from some upgrades.
