The iPad 2 was just recently released and is still sold out at many locations around the world. People have been waiting over a month now to get their brand New iPad 2. However, even though the iPad 2 is still sold out, talks have been swirling about the internet about the next generation iPad. There are a few possible reasons for this, one being the Apple employee who leaked information about the iPad 3. The other possible reason is that people did not see a huge change from the first generation iPad to the second generation. Considering the fact that talks have primarily been about what new features will be available in the next generation iPad, which we still really have no idea when it will be released, it seems like people might be giving up on getting an iPad 2 and holding out for the iPad 3. I mean if it has already been over a month since the release of the iPad 2, and people have been spreading rumors about the release of the next generation iPad being at some point within the next 6 months, wouldn’t you hold out?

Reasons to wait for the next generation iPad:

It has been reported that the iPad 3 is going to be a major upgrade in both design and functionality. If you grab yourself an iPad 2 right now, you are probably going to want to upgrade to an iPad 3 when it comes out.

Apple does not ever publically release product launch dates, however, an Apple employee started talking to a reporter about the next generation iPad and mentioned that it will be released in 2011. If this is the case, there is not much incentive to wait to get your hands on a now sold out iPad 2. Stick it out an extra few months and you will save yourself the headache of getting the iPad 2 and then having to resell it when you get the iPad 3 only a few months later.
